Chill Fest transforms Wicker Park businesses into music venues

ChillFest - 100 Musicians, 30 Stores, 1 Day - Nov 15

Chicago's biggest interconnected neighborhood music festival takes over Wicker Park and Bucktown for a second consecutive year on Saturday, November 15 from noon to 6 pm.  ChillFest is a free event that features over 100 local musicians of all genres playing live, acoustic "living room" sets within the intimacy 30 unconventional locations, everything from boutiques to restaurants to galleries, on one single day. At its core, the mission of ChillFest is to celebrate the artistic roots of historic Wicker Park & Bucktown. It's also an opportunity for emerging musicians to gain great exposure by performing in Chicago's live music epicenter.  Every ChillFest venue stages four or more musicians (or musical groups) in a dedicated portion of their space. Curated by the Wicker Park Bucktown ChillFest Planning Committee, each artist plays one acoustic 20 to 60-minute set matched to the ambiance of the host venue. To view a list of venues and artists, visit the website above.  There will be a public after-party at Subterranean - 2011 W. North Avenue - following the day's performances. The headliners for the after-party are The Soil & The Sun and Mike Golden & Friends. Tickets to the after-party are now on sale here.
