The Annual Bucktown Garden Walk And Block Party Return With Music, Petting Zoo and More

June 1, 2019 - Explore beautiful urban gardens, patios, rooftops and hidden gems tucked away throughout community when the 15th Annual Bucktown Garden Walk returns on July 13 and July 14, 2019. Sponsored by the Bucktown Community Organization, the Garden Walk will feature over 90 curated gardens, tours, trolley rides for attendees, a Children's Festival and Petting Zoo. This year, the Garden Walk will also include a Block Party at Churchill Park that will feature food trucks, beer and wine gardens, and entertainment all weekend long.

Attendees can stop by one of the checkpoints to purchase a Garden Walk Guide Book or to catch a trolley. Checkpoints include: Churchill Park (1825 N. Damen Avenue), Club Lucky (1824 W. Wabansia), Ipsento (2035 N. Western Avenue) or Lottie's Pub (1925 W. Cortland Avenue). The cost of the Guide Book is $10.

"The event brings together neighbors to socialize, show off their green thumbs and appreciate what others dedicate much of their time to while Summer is in full swing" says Meredith Flagstad, Director of Development and Sponsorship of the Garden Walk.

On Saturday July 13 and Sunday July 14, the Block Party will be open from 10am to 6pm. The Children's Festival will be open from 10am to 1pm and the Garden Walk will be open from 11am to 5pm each day. The Garden Walk is free but there is a $5 suggested donation to attend the Block Party at Churchill Park.

And if you can't wait until the weekend, a Garden Walk Preview Party is being hosted at Lottie's Pub on Friday, July 13, 2019 from 6pm-8pm. If you enroll to become a member of the Bucktown Community Organization at that time you'll receive a free guidebook, dinner drink tickets and a chance to enter a raffle.
