had a surf&turf (a grilled filet mignon and pan-seared shrimp) with mashed sweet potatoes, carrots-baby spinach mix and jalapeno salsa last night, and it was very delish! for dessert we had a mexican chocolate mousse with coconut and jalapeno sauce. this was my second time there. first time i had just steak tacos, and they were mediocre . the prices are mid-range, around $20+ a plate(not tacos!). the service was friendly and fast, although the place was packed. the atmosphere was nice(it was my birthday!). all-around, las palmas is worth visiting. enjoy!

Hands down my favorite mexican restaurant in the city. It's not your "american" mexican fair, don't go there expecting burritos and tacos, etc. But they have amazing food. Really good place for vegetarians too. I know everyone raves about Frontera Grill, but this puts it to shame!
