Pumpkin Decorating, Costume Contests, Beetlejuice and Trick Or Treating - All Part of Halloween on The 606

Updated October 31, 2015 - With the onset of the steady rain, the activities and special events planned for today on The 606 have been moved to The 14th District Shakespeare headquarters at 2150 N. California Street -- including the costume contests and feature film Beetlejuice. If you take The 606 to the station, however, you may just find a few folks handing out candy along the way.

Published October 16, 2015 - With the opening of The 606 earlier this year, comes an inaugural Halloween event courtesy of the Chicago Police Department/14th District, the Chicago Park District, Friends of the Bloomingdale Trail and the Trust for Public Land. According to information published by the Chicago PD, trick or treating will be hosted on The 606 on Halloween day, Saturday October 31st from 3pm-5pm. 

Admission is free.

In addition to trick-or-treating on The 606, a variety special events are being hosted at Julia de Burgos Park (1805 N. Albany Avenue) and Churchill Park (1825 N. Damen Avenue). Special events include: bike decorating, costume contests, pumpkin decorating and more. You can also catch Beetlejuice which will be playing in Churchill Park beginning at 5:45pm.
