First Ward Alderman Moreno and the Special Service Area for Wicker Park and Bucktown have launched a brand new Farmer's Market Thursdays so folks can pick up fresh food on their way home from work during their week while supporting local farmers.

This is really an ideal location as many of the residents of East Village, Noble Square and Ukrainian Village will also now have easy access to a local Farmers Market.

Per the SSA Website, the following vendors participated in the Thursday Farmers Market:

-Blue Sky Bakery and Cafe

-Delightful Pastries

-The Scrumptious Pantry

-KAP Farms

-Niemczyk P&P Juice Bar

The Polish Triangle Farmers Market ended September 29th and the Wicker Park Farmers market closed for the season October 30th.

The wicker park market is so awesome! I wish there was an inside venue that we could use to keep it going all year round and move back outside in the spring. It is a definate enjoyable part of my Sunday am routine and i will really miss it when it ends.
I will esp miss the garlic both and the fresh butter, both of which I can eat by the spoonful, they are so good I don't even need a cracker! I hope I am not the only one that would support an indoor mkt, I love that we support local growers and the high quality,
freshness and friendliness of the vendors! Let's make it work all year!
