Looks like another great business is heading to Wicker Park. The Purple Cow Ice Cream and Sandwich shop is moving from their Uptown location of 1 year into the space formerly the home of Anastasia Chatzka at 1740 W. Division Street.
What can you expect at Wicker Park's newest shop?
"The Purple Cow Ice Cream Cafe is a family owned ice cream parlor ....specializing in rich delicious hand dipped ice cream cones, shakes, malts, floats and sundaes. The Purple Cow also features an excellent selection of locally made candy and popcorn. The Purple Cow is a great place to stop in for a refreshing real fruit smoothie, available in four flavors." They're also looking at expanding their menu a little to offer sandwiches + more in this space due to the increased foot traffic.
They'll also be offering true doggy ice cream and have recently added a service window facing Division Street for those with dogs & strollers making access to all of their delicious options a little too convenient.
Updated 6-13-12: Progress is being made quickly and the owners behind Purple Cow are looking to open within the next several weeks.
