Blue Star Bistro Now Open for Lunch
Blue Star Bistro Bistro and Wine Bar located at 1209 N. Noble has announced they are now open for lunch every Friday afternoon. Tucked away on a quiet block of Noble Street, Blue Star offers small plates, large plates, appetizers and a nice selection of outstanding wine.
Here's a sampling of what you'll find on Friday afternoons:
In the warmer months, the patio is fantastic. Spacious and sunny with a variety of table sizes, you face Noble Street not Division Street so it's quiet and relaxing. When you enter the patio area the tables are set and waiting for you. The menu offers everything from bacon wrapped dates, to New York strip steak to duck confit to burgers, soups and salads.
Starters: The Dirty Martini: Green olives stuffed with blue cheese, fried crisp and served in a martini glass with a gin cream sauce.
Croquettes: As good as they look. Goat cheese breaded and lightly fried served with a blueberry and honey emulsion.
Butternut Squash Salad: Maple roasted butternut squash served with baby spinach, bourbon, cranberries, toasted almonds, cider vinaigrette and shaved manchego. A perfect blend of flavor and very fresh.
Seared Scallops: Melt in your mouth good. These scallops are served with corn fondue, zucchini fettuccini, crispy prosciutto and arugula-thyme pesto.
Not your run-of-the-mill Friday afternoon lunch. Blue Star Bistro does a nice job of offering many different delicious options to satisfy those end of the week cravings and the presentations are, clearly, beautiful. The service was also excellent. To learn more about Blue Star Bistro & Wine Bar.
