Wicker Park Fest 2020 Postponed
For the past 16 years Wicker Park Fest has become known as Chicago’s premier music-centric street festival, attracting some of the most sought-after bands across four live stages, reflecting Wicker Park’s rich music and cultural heritage.
The organizers of the festival have made the difficult decision to postpone the festival as the quickly-changing nature of near-future state and city government recommendations on public gatherings makes drawing together the elements an event this diverse problematic.
Wicker Park Fest, since its inception, has always showcased local businesses, artists and musicians. Therefore, the planning committee is honing in on solutions to continue in the spirit of supporting everything LOCAL. This temporary adaptation of Wicker Park Fest has not been finalized, but the planners remain cautiously hopeful. The intention is to maintain a safe and fun environment for everyone involved while still celebrating all that Wicker Park Fest stands for in Chicago during these extraordinary times.
The organizers will announce the final programming, new date and plans in the coming weeks.
