Where To Find The Best Beer in Wicker Park, Bucktown

Wicker Park and Bucktown have many amazing bars and incredible breweries. And with so many great bars and breweries in the neighborhood, we asked "who's your favorite"?

The Map Room- located a 1949 N. Hoyne was the resounding favorite. With over 200 beers from all over the world, this comfy and cozy Bucktown spot is where neighborhood residents like to hang out and relax. Plus, you just can't beat the selection.

Coming in a close 2nd, Bangers & Lace:

Bangers & Lace promises to be a beer drinkers haven offering a selection of close to 100 brews including 32 draft options, with a focus on North American products, and an extensive bottle selection featuring a discriminating list of rare vintages.

Followed by Piece:

Piece just recently expanded their brewery to accommodate demand for their hand-crafted brews.  The Sunday special of a growler and pizza for $25 is a great deal and the pizza is outstanding.

Honorable mentions.  Other great spots to grab a cold one: Small Bar and Moonshine.

Have we missed your favorite? If so, just let us know.

Uh. Maproom.

Maproom is a classic. SmallBar has had a solid draft and bottle list for years. Piece is brewing dynamite brew. Lots of great brew in the hood for sure.

Definitely Piece. Their top heavy Hefeweizen is the stuff dreams are made of.

Map Room has the best selection.

However, what makes beer taste even better? The popcorn at Bucktown Pub.

I loved Jerry's on Division. They have a 6-page menu of beers, and their staff always have something to recommend.

The beer list at Bangers and Lace is a joke compared to the Map Room. Small Bar also kicks their ass. Another great spot is Estelle's, their Tuesday night pours are 2 bucks and definitely worth facing a crowd. Bangers and Lace may have the most delightfully tacky decor in town but their beer menu is boring and overpriced.
