Suspect Charged in New Years Day Home Invasion, Sexual Assault

January 6, 2017- The Chicago Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the New Years Day home invasion that took place in the block of 2100 W. Concord Place between 11:00pm and 11:30pm.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Edward Malone, 23 was arrested and charged with home invasion and kidnapping with a firearm. Malone tied up a 31-year-old resident and fondled her before stealing her personal belongings and exiting through the back door. Malone was arrested Thursday afternoon at his place of employment on Wacker Drive. He lives on the far South Side of Chicago in the block of 10900 South Indiana Avenue.

His bond hearing is set for this afternoon.
