Chicago PD Issues Alert Regarding 6 Afternoon Robberies In One Day

On the heels of another crime alert issued over the weekend for home invasion/burglary/attempted sexual assault,  the Chicago PD has issued a Community Alert in response to 6 robberies occurring in and around the Bucktown area on Monday...all occurring in late afternoon - early evening. According to police, 2 offenders, approach the victim, physically restrain the victim by grabbing them or placing them in a headlock, display a knife and rob victim of their cellphone and credit cards.Offenders then run to a waiting black Nissan or Honda hatchback vehicle.

Incident times and locations are listed below:

1900 block of North Wood on August 29, 2016 at 3:45 P.M.
2500 block of North Greenview on August 29, 2016 at 3:58 P.M.
2700 block of North Mildred on August 29, 2016 at 4:15 P.M.
3000 block of North Greenview on August 29, 2016 at 4:50 P.M.
3000 block of North Ravenswood on August 29, 2016 at 4:50 P.M.
3700 block of North Greenview on August 29, 2016 at 5:01 P.M.

About the Offenders:

The offenders involved in the robberies are described by police as black with two of the offenders being between the ages of 13-17 with heights around 5' 5" and weight approximately 150 pounds. The third offender, the driver of the vehicle, is described as being slightly older 18-25 years of age, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds.

Report suspicious activity immediately
Always be aware of your surroundings.
Be aware of suspicious individuals in the neighborhood
If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene
