Bucktown Man Realizes He's Been Shot While Showering

Let's just preface this by saying the details of this are a little light. According to a report first published by NBC News a 25-year-old went out drinking Saturday night, became unconscious at some point in time, regained consciousness in the area of Hoyne Street and Charleston Street in Bucktown, went home to the area of 2200 W. Fullerton, showered at approximately 4:30am and then realized he had been shot in the chest. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he was listed in good condition.

Details are continuing to emerge regarding this weekend's incident. If you live in the area of Dickens & Damen Avenue, you cannot help but notice the significant amount of blood in the alley and on the sidewalks. The shooting took place between the hours of  3am-4:30am Sunday morning.

Police are actively investigating this crime and are looking for any video footage that may be available in the Bucktown neighborhood.
