The Annual Bucktown Arts Fest Returns This Weekend

Now in its 31st year, the Annual Bucktown Arts Festival returns to Holstein Park this weekend August 27th and August 28, 2016. Expecting over 40,000 visitors, the event is absolutely free to attendees and the focus of this neighborhood festival is, at its core, a 'celebration of the arts'. Featuring almost 200 artists (and artisans), you'll find everything from pottery and ceramics to handmade furniture and jewelry. You'll even find shoes, flowers, accessories and much much more.

You can find a full list of participating 2016 Artists here on their website.

But that's not all. The 2-day festival also offers entertainment with 2 stages of live music and craft beer, sangria and "eats" available via food trucks. The Beer Tent offers a taste of craft beer you won't traditionally find at Summer festivals and there will be a rotating selection of 20 specialty brews. Bell's Oberon Ale and Founders Mosaic Promise Pale Ail will be available all weekend. This unique offering of beer is being curated by Lakeshore Beverage.

Two stages of live music include: the Main Stage, featuring local artists and award-winning musicians, and the new Jazz Roots Stage located at Lyndale and Leavitt. The Jazz Roots Stage features young and emerging jazz and jazz-influenced artists. A full line-up of music can be found here.

The Bucktown Arts Fest is this weekend August 27 - August 28, 2016. The festival is hosted in Holstein Park at 2200 N. Oakley Avenue and is open daily from 11am-7pm.
