Boutique Hotel In The Works for Wicker Park, Bucktown

After many years of discussion, the historic icon and landmark "The Coyote" or Northwest Tower, will become a boutique hotel....right on the corner of North, Damen and Milwaukee Avenue in the heart of Wicker Park and Bucktown. According to a report published by DNAInfo Chicago, the plans include: 75 rooms, a diner/restaurant on the first floor, meeting rooms, a lounge with wi-fi, rooftop solarium and an underground valet parking garage designed to accommodate 28 -30 hotel guests. Prices are expected to range from $130-$170 per night.

The project also includes the Hollander Fireproof Warehouse. An additional 24 "shared rooms" are planned for this space.

The team behind the development, Convexity Properties, is planning a March 2014 start date for construction and hopes to have the new boutique hotel open by 2015. They are currently identifying who the hotel operator will be.
