At Long Last! At 5pm Saturday (6-16-12), Emporium Arcade located at 1366 N. Milwaukee Avenue, 'unofficially' opened their doors in an announcement via Twitter. We're really happy for the team behind this new establishment because it's taken a very long time for them to receive their license and the city's blessing.

Milwaukee Avenue - Wood Street Intersection Getting Redesign

As residents of Wicker Park for 7+ years, we can attest to the fact that this intersection is the most dangerous in the neighborhood for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians...and we are excited to report that at long last ... this intersection is getting a much needed make-over. The redesign will remove the island on the northeast side (where so many pedestrians get stuck) and enable a better overall flow of traffic. Steve Vance of Grid Chicago does an excellent job of outlining the issues/solutions. Redesign.
