Many have been asking about the opening of Bucktown's newest pizzeria and it sounds as if Friday, November 21st is their target opening date. Owned by restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff, Roxie's Pizza By The Slice has taken over the former home of Cafe Con Leche at 1732 N. Milwaukee Avenue and have made it all their own.
Joining the ranks of Piece Pizzeria, Dimo's, Santullo's and Lou Malnati's just a couple of blocks away, Roxie's will bring their own style to pizzas. According to a report published earlier by DNAInfo, 28 inch Brooklyn-style pizzas will be cooked on a stone deck with only 8 slices per pie. That will result in a sizable slice of pizza for a cost per piece of $4.50. Eight different rotating toppings will be available. There will also be 14 beers on tap available by the glass or pitcher and sooda will also be available.
Roxie's By The Slice will open each day at 12pm and will stay open until the pizza runs out. Whatever time that may be. Look for Roxie's to open as early as this Friday in Bucktown.
