We're back to business as usual this week with fantastic events happening throughout the neighborhood and the latest Wicker Park & Bucktown news. If you're looking for a fun idea for Father's Day, we've got it. Also this weekend, don't miss Learnapalaooza. One day a year the neighborhood is filled with free classes & workshops. This week don't miss the opening of Into the Void; Park Schrek's newest exhibition featuring
the works of Steve Amos. The title for the show, comes
from one of the artists earlier paintings, one that sparked and
influenced an entire series. Work will be on display beginning this Friday, June 15th

With license in hand and inspections all passed, we're not really sure what's keeping Emporium Arcade - located at 1366 N. Milwaukee Avenue- from officially opening their doors. They've said they're ready to open any day now. So be sure to have plenty of quarters on hand. We're expecting their doors to be open this weekend. We were able to catch a sneak peak of Wicker Park's hottest new bar last week. Emporium.
The
Anthem has launched a new lighter Summer Patio menu just in time for
the steamy weekend ahead. What can you expect? Vodka punch,
magaritas,vodka popcicles and Juicy Lucy sliders/pork
belly sliders for just $4 each. And for all of the veggies out there,
vegetarian sliders are also available. The Anthem.

Bueller? Ferris Kicks off Movies in the Park Tonight
Tonight Ferris Bueller's Day Off
kicks off the Summer Movies in the Park series in Bucktown. The weather
should be just perfect and all movies start at dusk. Next Wednesday The
Wizard heads to Wicker Park proper. For the full line up this Summer in

Richard Lloyd Show Canceled
We're
sorry to report that Richard Lloyd (of Television) has been hospitalized
and the remaining tour has been canceled. If you have tickets for the
show this weekend at Double Door you can receive a refund at the point

Lollapalooza AfterShows Announced
This week Do312
announced the 2012 Lollapaooza Aftershows happening throughout Chicago.
So if you don't have the time or money to attend Lollapalooza proper
this year in Grant Park, you can still catch a great show at one of the

Wicker Park Fest Announces Full Line Up
Wicker Park Fest announced the headliners for this year several weeks ago. This week, they released the full line up heading to the neighborhood at the end of July. For full details about Wicker Park Fest's final line up: 2012 Line Up.

Bedford Development Group to Open Carriage House
Father's Day Brunch & Dinner Ideas
Still wondering where to take Dad this weekend? Club Lucky
is offering an incredible All-You-Can-Eat Buffet with everything from
fried chicken and spare ribs to biscuits & gravy. They're including
breakfast dishes, lunch fare and delicious desserts. Taxim
is also offering a special menu for Dad (and discount) and Bucktown's
Red Door is offering a whole goat with lots of sides for $18.
Purple Cow Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop Update
Hand-dipped
ice cream cones, malts, shakes, sundaes and more are heading to
Division Street. Purple Cow (in the space formerly Anastasia Chatzka at
1740 W. Division) has a few more city inspections to entertain and then
their doors will open. They'll also be serving up doggy ice cream and
homemade candy and popcorn. Look for this new Wicker Park spot to open

Temple Beautiful Expands Classes/Workshops
This week Temple
Beautiful at 1903 W. Division Street announced a number of new dance,
acupuncture, yoga + more classes and workshops. We've just published
their schedule into July. Sign up early. Space is limited for these

Early Warning - Harry Houdini Heads to The Chopin in July
Earlier this year we reported Death & Harry Houdini was selling out shows far in advance due to the talent and popularity of magician Dennis Watkins. Death & Harry Houdini will arrive back at The Chopin Theatre in Wicker Park on July 7th. Get your tickets early: Houdini.
