Seafood. Raw Bar. Absinthe. Perfection in Wicker Park

As a resident of the neighborhood for almost 8 years, our wish has always been for a seafood restaurant to open in Wicker Park. That dream is coming true.
Enter The Savoy (Seafood-Raw Bar-
Absinthe); coming to 1408 N. Milwaukee Avenue in the space formerly La
Fonda del Gusto in July. We're not sure how this new bar &
restaurant could have flown under our radar for as long as it has but
they're scheduled to open in July. Behind the concept: owner/operator
Ricky Moore and chef Brian Greene, whose résumé includes Tramonto's
Steak & Seafood, Purple Pig
and two restaurants in Highland Park: Abigail's American Bistro and M
Restaurant, where he was most recently the executive chef.
According to Time Out Chicago's overview, Wicker Park's newest upscale eatery will combine a sizable bar in the back of the space, a raw bar and dining area.
The raw bar menu will include: the oysters, ceviche, geoduck clams and more. Seafood dishes will continue to be the focus in the dining room although non-seafood entrees will also be available.
