There is always lots of fun to be had at the bars in Wicker Park and Bucktown. On Twitter, we often get asked what the specials are across the neighborhood. For your convenience, we've set up a list on Twitter of all the bars in the Wicker Park & Bucktown (who happen to be on Twitter) so you can see what the specials are on any day. Lillie's Q is celebrating their 1 Year Anniversary on Monday!  Chef McKenna will be serving delicious barbecue and it's free! So be sure to stop by and celebrate with Lillie's Q. As always, we are so very lucky to have so many incredible theater and performing arts options in the neighborhood. This weekend: My Chicago. My Chicago explores Chicago from the kids' point of view. Fun for all ages. And calling all Gleeks! Gleetastic is heading back at Davenports but not many shows are scheduled. So don't wait until the last minute. These shows always sell out.

The Wicker Park Bucktown Insider's Guide

We are assisting the Wicker Park Garden Club and Chicago Park District by sending this information out to the community at large. Wicker Park proper (1425 N. Damen Avenue) has, unfortunately,  been the focal point for a rash of recent vandalism and tagging.  Please be vigilant if you're in the area. If you see anything please call 911. And if you know anything about the property damage and/or vandalism above, please contact the 14th District Police Department or 1st Ward Alderman Joe Moreno.

Good morning and welcome to this week's Insider Weekend Guide. Hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend. So many fun events are happening this weekend and a number of great neighborhood fests are heading our way soon. So we're providing an update to those neighborhood fests so you have plenty of notice. But that's not all. This week we are also featuring a very special interview we conducted recently with 93XRT DJ Richard Milne. This year Richard will be celebrating 25 years with XRT and 23 years in Wicker Park. We're very lucky to have him. See below for the details. And thanks, as always, for joining us.

Meet Richard Milne. Richard's been a 93XRT disc jockey for 25 years and is one of the most well-known and influential people in the Chicago music scene. But what most people don't know is that Richard is a long-time Wicker Park resident. In a recent interview with us, he shares his perspective on: Chicago Music, Local Anesthetic and how his neighborhood, Wicker Park, has changed over the years. Don't miss it. But that's not all. The House Theatre is celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary this year! With that we would like to remind everyone of the amazing magic show that Dennis Watkins hosts.
