Asrai Garden Fundraiser for Kristen
As many of you know, Wicker Park's Asrai Garden was
robbed mid-day about 2 weeks ago. One of the florists was injured during
that robbery and the community has joined together to hold a fundraiser
for Kristen this Monday at Double Door - 1572 N. Milwaukee Avenue in
Wicker Park. Proceeds will be donated to Kristen to help with her
recovery.
If you're ever wondering what to do on a Monday night
and you're still holding fast to those New Years Resolutions to get fit,
head to Bucktown's Dance Spa at 1890 N. Milwaukee Avenue. Tucked away
on the North end of Milwaukee Avenue, Dance Spa offers professional
training for all different types of dance and on Monday nights you can
work out, get fit and have a great time.
It's the 1st day of meteorological Spring
so the timing of the Wicker Park Garden Club's workshop couldn't be
better This Saturday you can learn how to propagate plants from
residents right in the community. But you need to RSVP. The details for
how you do it are right here.
CBS is reporting that the plans for
the Bloomingdale Trail are ready to be presented. The Chicago Department
of Transportation will be holding a meeting next Tuesday. The time and
the location of that meeting are attached.

The first Friday of each month, the Flat Iron artists open their studios to the public and thi Friday they will be hosting their "open house" and First Friday. You can visit over 50 artists right in the historic Flat Iron Building at the corner of North, Damen and Milwaukee Avenue - 1579 N. Milwaukee Avenue Wicker Park.
Footprints in Vertical Skies Opening Reception
Mazi Dance Fitness Centre is a beautiful space located
right at the bustling corner of North, Damen and Milwaukee Avenue (2001
W. North Avenue). Not only do they offer ballet technique -based dance
classes, they also offer classes for kids. Tap & ballet classes are
currently being offered for kids ages 5-8.

Double Door & Empty Bottle Named as 2 of Chicago's Best
Congratulations to Double Door and The Empty Bottle for being recognized by the Chicago Tribune for being 2 of Chicago's best music venues. Keep up the great work.

Tapas Head to Division StreetThis week we received information letting us know that Angels & Mariachis (1721 W. Division St) had in fact shuttered their doors and that Black Bull Tapas will be moving in. The focus here will be on Spanish Tapas and they're looking to open in April. We'll provide additional details as soon as we receive them.
The Trenchermen - To Open in April Heading to the spot on North Avenue the previous home
of Spring, Wicker Park's newest restaurant is hoping to open this April.
Expect local, seasonal, higher end fare and a sizable bar area.
Our friends at The Wormhole (1462 N. Milwaukee
Avenue) have been going through a serious remodeling effort which will
improve the flow of the overall shop and provide more seating up front
by the windows facing Milwaukee Avenue. The Delorean has also landed in
it's new spot and The Wormhole is working hard to reopen again on
Saturday morning (March 3rd).
The 1st Wednesday of each month, Club Lucky hosts a Martini Party. The sponsors of the event may change but the martinis are always excellent and only $6. Pair them with great Italian food that is only Club Lucky (1824 W. Wabansia).

Bucktown's Gorilla Tango Theatre has announced that
they are expanding and recently bought the Skokie Theatre. A very warm
congratulations to the Gorilla Tango on this terrific accomplishment.

this weekend to 4 star reviews.They're Dying Out tells the story of the
corporate mindset and how it infects the souls of those who engage in
it.
